Having been brought up in Cape Town, South Africa, surfing was not so much a hobby as a way of life. Now I’ve returned to the UK I don’t get to see too much great surf but when I do get my chance I cannot resist capturing the moment. Most of the large wave shots are taken at my favourite winter retreat, Lanzarote at a break called La Santa.
